Musty & Crusty...What's Inside?

What can be the value of this old beat-up green wooden box? Let's open it up and see...

???

What is this exactly and what was it meant for? A cigar or tea box or something else? It does have a mark on the bottom...which I can barely make out. It is lightweight, with a tight-fitting lid, bearing a very decorative carved pattern on the outside. There will have to be some research done on this, however, if anyone knows what this is (or its origins), please feel free to write in with a note.

I was able to "pretty up" the box to make it look refurbished, by just putting a few hummingbird photos in it. You have no idea how much better this looks in person. The bottom of the box has a big crack in it, but it is still very usable.

This is definitely a vintage pill box with an appended design on top, including a blue faux gemstone. It is very detailed and has a snapping closure and a small bail on the side (for hanging as a necklace or something else)...eBay has this listed. It is funny, just when you think you are the only person that owns this thing...

These were the other items that I found in this box. I know the autumn leaf epaulettes are hand-made, going back to when epaulettes were in fashion...appearing in crafting and sewing magazines and all the rage along with shoulder pads and the military look in the 80s.

The religious items, keys, small silver pendants, and copper bracelet are covered in what looks like patina from an archaeological dig! I think that this is actually the silver sulfide that has brought tarnish to the items over time. The small lock with the key attached is still very usable and is something I want to look into...

Do you have any similar items like these in your home? Maybe you can identify with a thing or two. While these items aren't for sale right now, I have a lot to research. When in doubt, do a reverse photo search online (you can do this on your phone) and consult eBay for some guidance.

Ah, the joy and wonder a musty, crusty old box can bring!
