remember the popular Asian-inspired decorations and home goods that made their way into American homes in the 80s and 90s? Well, here is a taste of one item...this is a vintage decorative Chinese porcelain plate by Nora Fenton Designs, hand-painted in Macau (it's on the southern coast of China).
This plate represents the beauty and luster of spring, birds that will arrive and bring light and spread their wings of joy into the universe. Bring a little of that into your home this spring when you choose to pick this up!
The design has an intricate blend of lavender/purple, olive green, and black paints on a white background with gold trim. The plate measures about 10 inches and it's in excellent condition!
For collectors, the bottom of the plate is signed/stamped and it is strictly for decorative purposes; on the bottom, it advises that it is not intended for food use.
What can you do with this plate?
- Add it to the wall alone or with other plates (framed, hung, or in an informal arrangement)
- Use it to hold jewelry or other small items
- Find a plate stand and display it proudly
- Make it into a craft project. What you do with it is up to you...
- Start collecting Nora Fenton Design porcelain or add it to your growing collection!
