Sometimes, we come upon some really useful gems in our travels. A small item that you may not be familiar with at first, however, you find out the use for it quickly, and it is a lifesaver! It is so small, but so helpful, and it makes our lives easier.

Thrift Store Salesperson (at the register): You got such a good deal on the jewelry today. We had just discounted it this morning...
The sparkly bone necklace is my favorite. I had my eye on it all week!
You: I know, I just thought I'd peek in here today. I guess today was my lucky day!
Thrift Store Salesperson: It's just five. Do you want a recyclable bag or wrapping?
You: I have my own, but sure, I'll take the bag and wrapping. (Thinking to yourself, yes, yes, I'll take anything free!)
Thrift Store Salesperson: No worries, they are both recyclable if you'd like to give these as a gift or give them to yourself!
Also, grab a few candies and a free surprise gift in the bin on the way out (nodding toward the bin). They are individually wrapped with our new store card attached, so you can come back and see us again!
You: Thank you so much (smiling as it's the BEST day...you got some great deals out thrifting today!)
Since it's around the time of Halloween, many people like to bring back the past with items for costumes that have been around the house forever and now, can be of use!
